Women's Swimming & Diving Takes Second at Home Meet

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire women's swimming & diving team took second place at its home quad meet today in the McPhee Physical Education Center.

Results

Minnesota State University-Moorhead finished in first while UW-Oshkosh and UW-River Falls were third and fourth respectively.

The Blugolds claimed seven first-place finishes along with six second place finishes.

Two Blugolds each won two events to lead the team.

Maddie Gray (So.-Roseville, Minn.) took first in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.21 and won the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 2:14.71.

Maggie Reilly (Sr.-Saint Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville) was first in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:20.69 and won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.92.

In the 50-yard freestyle, Allison Hable (So.-Ankeny, Iowa) took first with a time of 25.61 seconds and Lisa Reed (Jr.-Duluth, Minn./East) won the 1,650-yard freestyle with a time of 18:47.70.

Diving, Amanda Baker (So.-Hudson, Wis.) took first on the one-meter board with a score of 267.60.

The Blugolds will be back in action on Dec. 7 and 8 at the Rochester Invitational. The meet gets underway at 9:30 a.m. both days.
