The Blugolds recorded 10 finishes of third place or better, including three victories.

Diver Sara Axness (So.-Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) led the way by winning both the one and three-meter events with scores of 288.50 and 297.20, respectively. Her mark on the three-meter board was a new pool record, beating out Blugold Hall of Famer Sara Mulatz, who held the record of 293.20 since 1995. It was also just one point shy of the school record, which Mulatz also holds.

Elissa Hermsen (Fr.-Waunakee, Wis.) was the other Blugold to pick up a win as she took the top spot in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:01.57.

The 400-yard freestyle team of Hermsen, Allison Hable (So.-Ankeny, Iowa), Ellie Hostetler (So.-St. Paul, Minn./Convent of the Visitation) and Abby Meyer (Sr.-Apple Valley, Minn.) took second with a time of 3:50.43.

The Blugolds finished in third place in six other events, one diving, one relay and four swimming.

Next weekend the Blugolds will be at home to face Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) and Northern Michigan University. Action will get underway at 8:45 a.m.
