Five Blugolds Win as Women's Swimming & Diving Hosts Moorhead

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – Five UW-Eau Claire women's swimmers and divers won a total of six events as the Blugolds hosted Minnesota State University-Moorhead in the McPhee Physical Education Center tonight.

Results

Amanda Baker (So.-Hudson, Wis.) led the team as she won both the one and three-meter dives. She took first with 261.05 points in the one-meter and won the three-meter with a score of 265.55.

In the 50-yard freestyle, Allison Hable (So.-Ankeny, Iowa) took the top spot with a time of 25.44 seconds.

Maggie Reilly (Sr.-Saint Michael, Minn./St. Michael-Albertville) won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.76.

In the 500-yard freestyle, Lisa Reed (Jr.-Duluth, Minn./East) claimed the win with a time of 5:25.08.

Finally, in the 1,000-yard freestyle, Sidney Fairbrother (So.-Maple Plain, Minn./Orono) won with a time of 11:05.80.

As a team, Moorhead came out on top 168.5-131.5.

Tomorrow the Blugolds will be back in action, hosting Minn.-Moorhead, UW-River Falls and UW-Oshkosh. Diving will begin at 8:45 a.m. and swimming will start about 12:30 p.m. in McPhee.
