Two Blugold Wrestlers Named to All-WIAC Second Team

MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – Two UW-Eau Claire wrestlers have been named to the All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Second Team, WIAC officials announced today.

Honored this year were Nathaniel Behnke (So.-Bruce, Wis.) and Ryan Seidler (Sr.-Adams, Wis./Adams-Friendship).

Behnke was selected for the first time in his career at 141 pounds. He currently holds a 33-9 record this season and has won seven out of his last eight matches.

Seidler was also named for the first time in his career at 149 pounds. He is 26-7 this season and has won six out of his last seven matches.

This is the first time since the 2006-07 season two Blugolds have been named to the All-WIAC team.

Additionally, Luke Ortscheid (Sr.-Wausau, Wis./West) was named the WIAC Max Sparger Scholar-Athlete while Behnke was also named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
