Blugold Wrestling Falls to 14th-Ranked Warhawks

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire wrestling team fell 39-6 to 14th-ranked UW-Whitewater in the McPhee Physical Education Center tonight.

Results

Two Blugolds won by decision tonight to give Eau Claire six points.

At 149 pounds, Ryan Seidler (Sr.-Adams, Wis./Adams-Friendship) won his third straight match, defeating Whitewater's Nick Fanella 5-3.

At 165 pounds, Matthew Laugen (Fr.-Fergus Falls, Minn./Kennedy) picked up a 5-1 win over Whitewater's Kegan Arthur.

Eau Claire drops to 0-7 overall and 0-3 in WIAC duals while the Warhawks improve to 5-2 on the season and 3-0 in conference duals.

The Blugolds will be off until Jan. 4 when they compete at the Lakeland College Duals in Plymouth, Wis.
