Wrestler Nathaniel Behnke Named WIAC Athlete of the Week

MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire wrestler Nathaniel Behnke (Fr.-Bruce, Wis.) has been named this week's Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athlete of the Week for wrestling, Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Matt Stanek announced today.

Competing in four dual meets in the Candlewood Suites Duals at UW-La Crosse on Dec. 1, Behnke won all four of his 141 pound matches, with all coming by fall. Against Cornell College (Iowa), Behnke won in 2:05 over Ray Feliz-Taveras. He followed with a win over Darius Leopaul of Waldorf College (Iowa) in 2:03 and then pinned Greg Vance of Loras College (Iowa) in 2:42. Behnke ended the day with a pin in 4:05 over Evan Guffey of Saint John's University (Minn.).
