Stubbs earns 2nd Team NCGA All-American honors

BROCKPORT, NY (Blugolds.com) – Liz Stubbs (Sr.-Wayzata, MN) and Lauren Zurowski (So.-Greenville, WI) wrapped up the season at the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) meet on Saturday, completing in the floor exercise and uneven parallel bars.

Stubbs capped off her career with Second Team All-American honors after earning a 9.700 on the floor, tying for 10th place. Zurowski finished 18th on the bars with a 9.300.

The champions for each event go as follows: Vault, Katie Fiorilli from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater 9.875; Bars, Mackenzie Smith from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater 9.8250; Beam, Candis Kowalik from Brockport 9.850; Floor, Lisa O'Donnell from University of Wisconsin-Whitewater 9.850.

In addition, all four seniors, Stubbs, Julia Stedman (Sr.-Maplewood, MN), Leah Robinette (Sr.-Woodbury, MN/East Ridge) and Kellie Dougherty (Sr.-White Bear Lake, MN) earned NCGA Academic All-America Honors.
