EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's gymnastics defeated UW-Oshkosh at their last home meet of the season on Friday, winning 185.100-183.975.
Eau Claire's Hannah Wendel (Fr. - Brandon, MN) took first in vault at 9.400 while teammate Julia Stedman (Sr. - Maplewood, MN) came in second with a score of 9.375.
The Blugolds dominated the bars, taking the top three spots. In first was Lauren Zurowski (So. - Greenville, WI) scoring 9.525. Behind her was Jessica Dhaene (Jr. - Stacy, MN) at 9.500 and in third place was Leah Robinette (Sr. - Woodbury, MN) with a score of 9.225.
The Blugolds also came out on top in beam. Tori Erickson (So. - Woodbury, MN) scored 9.350 to lock in her first place finish.
On floor, Liz Stubbs (Sr. - Wayzata, MN) earned a top finish at 9.700.
Next up for the Blugolds is the WIAC Championship/ NCAA Regionals hosted by UW-La Crosse.
