Women's Golf remains in 5th place after Round 2 of WIAC Championship

REEDSBURG, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – After round two of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship (presented by Culver's), the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team remains in fifth place.

The Blugolds recorded a team score of 337 on Saturday to bring their two-round total to 678 (+102) while UW-Whitewater took the lead with a 312 on the day and are in first with a score of 627 (+51).

Allison Chomniak (Sr. – Pewaukee, WI/Arrowhead) had a strong day for the Blugolds, tallying a 75 and moved up the leaderboard into a tie for sixth with a two-round score of 158. Jessica Rudnicki (So. – Sun Prairie, WI) is two strokes behind with a 160 (tied for 11th) after shooting an 83.

Anna Uzpen (So. - Osceola, WI) moved up a spot and is tied for 36th with Saturday's 89 (179) while

Monica Cucunato's (Fr. – Kenosha, WI/Bradford) 90 has her in a tie for 39th (181).  Abbie Ter Maat (Jr. - Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) also moved up the leaderboard and is tied for 53rd after shooting a 92 (191).

The Blugolds will compete in the final round on Sunday with a 9:30 a.m. start.
