Women's Golf Wins Georgianni Invite; Chomniak Wins Individual Title

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team finished first in the Blugold Georgianni Invite held at the Eau Claire Golf and Country Club on September 9th and 10th. Senior, Allison Chomniak (Sr. – Pewaukee, WI/Arrrowhead) won the individual title.

The Blugold women turned in a two round team total of 752, finishing an impressive 14 strokes in front of St. Scholastica who took second and well in front of  UW-Superior who finished third.  

Allison Chomniak (Sr. – Pewaukee, WI/Arrrowhead) won the individual title with a first round 81 and turned in a round two 88 for a total of 169. Chomniak finished 11 strokes in front of Kylie Slavin (CSS) who finished in second place with a two round total of 180. Abbie Ter Maat (Stevens Point, Wis. / SPASH) , who was in 6th place after round one had a great second round to finish in third place, while Jessica Rudnicki (Sun Prairie, Wis.) finished tied for fourth. 

The Blugold women will compete at the D3 Classic next weekend at Jewel Golf Course in Lake City, MN.
