Rudnicki shoots career-best to lead Blugolds at WIAC Championships

REEDSBURG, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – Jessica Rudnicki (So. – Sun Prairie, WI) shot a career-best to lead the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's golf team in round one of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship (presented by Culver's) at the Reedsburg Country Club.

Rudnicki turned in a score of 77 to pace the Blugolds and is tied for third overall. UW-Eau Claire is in fifth place as a team after shooting a combined 341 (+53) while UW-Stout is in first place with a 314 (+26).

Allison Chomniak (Sr. – Pewaukee, WI/Arrowhead) followed Rudnicki with an 83 and is tied for 17th while Anna Uzpen (So. - Osceola, WI) recorded a 90 and is tied for 37th.

Monica Cucunato's (Fr. – Kenosha, WI/Bradford) 91 has her in a tie for 41st and  Abbie Ter Maat (Jr. - Stevens Point, WI/SPASH) is tied for 57th after shooting a 99.

The Blugolds will compete in round two of three on Saturday with a 10 a.m. start.
