Blugolds Capture Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire softball players earned Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar Athlete awards on Tuesday. With 15 Blugolds earning the Scholar All-American award, the team placed in the top-30 of all schools submitting honors.

UWEC posted a team grade point average of 3.64, ranking 26th out of the 125 submitted schools.

The 15 student-athletes honored with the award were Lauren Gamme (Jr. - Eagan, Minn.), Chloe Garofalo (So. - Kenosha, Wis./Bradford), Hailey Hagedorn (Fr. - Farmington, Minn.), Jocelyn Hancock (Jr. - Verona, Wis.), Haley Lamberson (Sr. - Silver Lake, Wis./Wilmot Union), Paige Lathrop (Fr. - South Milwaukee, Wis.), Kaitlyn Madole (Jr. - Owatonna, Minn.), Megan Maruna (Sr. - Oswego, Ill.), Morgan Netzinger (Fr. - Plover, Wis./SPASH), Megan Patterson (So. - Johnsburg, Ill.), Emma Raikowski (Fr. - Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH), Jacie Schultz (So. - Lake Crystal, Minn./Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial), Kenna Strunsee (So. - Waukesha, Wis./South), Shaelyn Talley (Sr. - Wausau, Wis./West), and Madi Zerr (Bristol, Wis./Wilmot Union).

Student-athletes are eligible for Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honor by earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2022-23.
