MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire women's hockey forward Elizabeth Bauer (Wausau Wis./ Wausau East) has been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Hockey Athlete of the Week, it was announced today by WIAC Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Matt Stanek.
Bauer had three goals and two assists during the week, leading the Blugolds to a 3-0-1 record. She had one goal on four shots and added an assist in a 5-3 win over College of St. Benedict (Minn.) on Dec. 5. Bauer had another one goal and one assist game against St. Mary’s University (Minn.) on Dec. 9, in a 5-1 triumph.
The Blugold women are 9-4-1 overall, they will host St. Catherine (Minn.) on Dec. 31 at 11:00am at Hobbs Ice Arena.
