  • Women's Tennis Falls to UW-Whitewater in WIAC Championship

    JANESVILLE, Wis. (blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team defeated UW-La Crosse in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Team Tournament semifinal match Saturday afternoon. With the victory the Blugolds advanced to the WIAC Championship, but fell to UW-Whitewater 0-6 in the championship match. The Blugolds headed into the semifinal as the No. 2 seed but fell to the No. 3 Eagles, who went on to face UW-Whitewater in the final. UW-Whitewater claimed the WIAC Championship and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship on May 12.
