DECORAH, Iowa (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's soccer team lost another heartbreaker Wednesday night, falling to Luther College 1-0.
Luther's Melissa Chasse scored the only goal of the game in the 52nd minute, unassisted. The Norse outshot the Blugolds 10-7 with both teams recording two shots on goal. Luther also held and 8-2 advantage in corner kicks.
The Blugolds (0-4-2) return to Bollinger Field Saturday as they host University of Wisconsin-River Falls to open Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) play. Saturday's matchup will be Parents Day, along with Play for a Cause Day, highlighting the Joan Hanson Foundation. Game time is slated for 1 p.m.
