DECORAH, Ia. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire men's cross country team placed seven of the top 14 runners as they went to win the JV Cup here today on the Luther College campus.

Matt Cyra (So.-Eagle, WI/Mukwonago) took first place completing the 8K course in a time of 26:19.0.  Michael Bushar (So.-Weston, WI/D.C. Everest) finished in second place crossing the finish line in 26:28.5

Brendon Paucek (So.-Sullivan, WI/Jefferson) took fourth place posting a time of 26:34.6

Joe Meister (So.-Plymouth, MN/Wayzata) placed eighth recording a time of 26:53.4.  Riley Huffman (Fr.-Oshkosh, WI/North) rounded out the team scoring for the Blugolds taking ninth place with a time of 26:55.5.

The Blugolds will compete next Saturday, November 15 at the NCAA Division III Regional.  Race time is set for 11:00 a.m.
