EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's hockey team will hit the ice in October to get the 2023-24 campaign rolling. The Blugolds will look to build on a 2022-23 season in which they posted an 18-9-1 record.
After a pair of exhibitions with Dubuque in mid-October, the Blugolds open the new season with a home game against Augsburg on Oct. 28 at Hobbs Ice Arena. UW-Eau Claire is at home twice in November, hosting Bethel (Nov. 11) and St. Norbert (Nov. 25). However, three of the squad's four games in December are at home. The Blugolds host UW-Superior (Dec. 1), UW-Stout (Dec. 2) and UW-Stevens Point (Dec. 8) that month.
The team's Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) opener is Nov. 14 at UW-Stevens Point. The Blugolds' first three WIAC games are all on the road. UW-Eau Claire's home opener in conference play is against UW-Superior on Dec. 1.
UW-Eau Claire has four home games in January, including a pair of conference contests against Northland. The Blugolds' final two regular-season home games are a series against UW-River Falls on Feb. 2-3.
