SANDESTIN, Florida (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team finished in 11th place at the Golfweek Division III Invitational while Isaac Prefontaine (So.- New Franklin, WI/Green Bay Preble) tied for 19th overall.
UW-Eau Claire shot a 297 on Tuesday's third and final round to finish with a team score of 888. Emory won the invitational with a team score of 842.
Prefontaine shot a 71 (even) on Tuesday, turning in a three-round score of 215 and earn a spot in the top 20.
Nick Bauer (Sr.- Oshkosh, WI/North) followed, tying for 26th place after tallying a 73 (218) while
Alex Rogan's (Jr. – Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial) 76 (219) put him in a tie for 29th.
Cole Jahnke (Fr.- Stillwater, MN) and Brady Thomas (Jr. – Middleton, WI) both finished at 240 to tie for 86th after shooting a 77 and 78, respectively.
The invitational wraps up the fall season for Eau Claire and will start the spring season April 5-6 at the Illinois Wesleyan Invite in Normal, IL.
