Goetsch Earns Preseason All-American Honors

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire football player Austin Goetsch (Sr.-Waunakee, Wis.) has been named a 2012 Division III Preseason All-American, according to USA College Football. He was selected to the third team offense.

Goetsch, a tight end for the Blugolds, was second on the team a season ago with 516 receiving yards while leading the Blugolds with five receiving touchdowns. In 2011, he was a named an All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference second team selection on offense.

The Blugolds begin the new season on Sept. 1 when they host the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) at Carson Park. Kickoff is set for 3:10 p.m.
