Kelly Schuh Named to Academic All-District Volleyball Team

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire women's volleyball player Kelly Schuh (Sr.-Appleton, Wis./Hortonville) has been selected to the 2013 Capital One NCAA Division III Academic All-District Six Women's Volleyball First Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Schuh is a Spanish and psychology major with a 3.97 GPA.

Playing in all 34 matches and a total of 113 sets, Schuh leads the Blugolds and WIAC in kills with 407 total, 3.60 per set. She is third on the team and 10th in the conference with 0.30 service aces per set for a total of 34, and is second on the team and 12th in the conference with 3.05 digs per set for a total of 345. In her career, she has 3,186 total attack attempts, fifth most in school history, while she has 1,079 kills, 10th most in school history. She was named to the All-WIAC team this season.

Because she was selected to the All-District first team, Schuh is now eligible to be named to the Academic All-America squad that will be announced Dec. 10.

In order to be eligible for the Academic All-America program, nominees must: be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletic credentials; have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale) in both undergrad and graduate work; have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at the institution and completed at least one calendar year at the institution; and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games.
