Ramquist and Fehler Lead Blugolds to Third Place Finish in WIAC Championship

PLATTEVILLE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) –The UW-Eau Claire women's track and field team finished third at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) championship meet with several Blugolds taking home top honors.

Lucy Ramquist (Sr. River Falls, Wis.) finished first in both the 3000-meter run and the one-mile run with times of 9:50.68 and 4:57.40 respectively.

Carly Fehler (Sr. Oak Creek, Wis.) finished first in the 60-meter dash in 7.74 seconds and first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.99.

Fehler also competed in the 4x200-meter relay with Lindsey Laufenberg (Sr. Waunakee, Wis.), Kelsey Worachek (Fr. Appleton, Wis.), and Kayla Kelsey (Sr. Sparta, Wis.). The team took second in 1:43.08.

Another Blugold relay team made up of Jessie Reineck (So. Greenville, Wis.), Brooke Patterson (Sr. Sussex, Wis.), Kim Drewiske (Sr. Green Bay, Wis.), and Jessica Rupnow (Jr. Sussex, Wis.) finished third in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 3:57.40.

Reineck also claimed second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.28.

Sarah Glidden (So. Greenville, Wis.) finished third in the pentathlon with a score of 3343.

The Blugolds return to the track on Saturday, March 7 as they take place in the UW-Stevens Point Last Chance Meet.
