Fehler Leads Blugolds in St. Thomas Invitational

ST. PAUL, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's track team traveled to Minnesota on Friday to partake in the St. Thomas Invitational.

Results

Eau Claire performed well, placing numerous finishers in the top three in their event.

Carly Fehler (Sr. Oak Creek, Wis.) led the way for the Blugolds, finishing first in both the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.44 seconds, and the 60-meter dash in 7.73 seconds.

Those times come in first and second in the nation respectively.

Kim Drewiske (Sr. Green Bay, Wis.) added to the winning, finishing first in the 60-meter hurdle in a personal best 9.46 seconds.

In the 5,000-meter run, Lucy Ramquist (Sr. River Falls, Wis.) finished second in 17:21.98, good for a top-10 time nationally.

The 4x400-meter relay of Drewiske, Calla Karl (Sr. Frederic, Wis.), Emily Holman (Jr. Rochester, Minn.), and Taylor Wirth (Jr. Appleton, Wis.) finished second in 4:10.48.

Two Blugolds finished in the top three in long jump, with Marina Eggen (Jr. Greenville, Wis.) coming in second with 17-05.50, and Fehler finished at 17-02.25.

After taking a week off, the Blugolds will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 21, traveling to Stevens Point for the Point Eastbay Invitational.
