STEVENS POINT, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's indoor track & field team came away with four wins at the Pointer Invitational at UW-Stevens Point today.
Multi-events began Friday and Blugolds Kelsey Weigel (Jr.-Marshfield, Wis.) won the pentathlon with 3,070 points.
In field events, Lindsey Haller (Sr.-Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead) led the Blugolds as she won the shot put with a toss of 13.11 meters (43-0.25).
On the track, Steph Sjostrom (Sr.-Champlin, Wis./Champlin Park) took first in the one-mile run with a time of 5:06.03.
The 4x200-meter relay team of Carly Fehler (So.-Oak Creek, Wis.), Megan Mulligan (So.-Lake Geneva, Wis./Badger), Jessie Reineck (Fr.-Greenville, Wis./Fox Valley Lutheran) and Brooke Patterson (So.-Sussex, Wis./Hamilton) won the event with a time of 1:45.69.
Next Friday, the Blugolds will be at the St. Thomas (Minn.) Invitational.
