ROME, Georgia (blugolds.com)-- The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's tennis team sent doubles duo Clare Palen (Jr.-Rochester, MN) and Samantha Fuchs (So.-DeForest, WI) to compete at the ITA Cup in Rome, Georgia hosted by Berry College.
Palen and Fuchs played their frst match Thursday, October 13th against Taylor and Zhou of Carnegie Melon University. They fell in a competitive match 4-6, 3-6. Their next match on Friday, October 10th the duo defeated Cushing and Levy of Trinity University 6-4, 2-6, (10). In their last match of the ITA Cup, Palen and Fuchs lost to Hung and Karah of Bowdoin College 5-7, 2-6. The doubles pair put up a fight against some of the top DIII compeititon in the NCAA.
