MADISON, Wis. (blugolds.com)--University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Nick Kudick, KiKi Kussow, Samantha Fuchs, and Clare Palen have been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Kwik Trip Athletes of the Week for the week of Sept. 19 - 25.

Against No. 23-ranked Albion College (Mich.) on Sept. 24, Nick Kudick (Sr., WR, Mauston, Wis./Mauston) tallied two touchdowns and a career-high 96 receiving yards on nine receptions as UW-Eau Claire posted 335 total yards in the air. Kudick currently sits tied for first in the WIAC with four receiving touchdowns.

KiKi Kussow (Sr., D, Green Bay, Wis./Notre Dame) logged 156 minutes during the week as the Blugolds went 1-0-1. She held down the backline to earn a 1-1 draw with regionally ranked St. Catherine University (Minn.) on Sept. 20. Two days later, Kussow and the Blugolds posted a 2-0 victory over Bethel University (Minn.) at Simpson Field.
 
Samantha Fuchs (So., DeForest, Wis./DeForest) and Clare Palen (Jr., Rochester, Minn./Lourdes) earned their spot in the ITA Division III National Women's Championships after taking second place in the 2022 ITA Division III Women's Midwest Regional Championships. The duo collected four wins during the regional tournament, including an 8-4 victory over the No. 9 Grinnell College (Iowa) duo of L. Perrin and E. Jarvis. Fuchs and Palen battled hard in the championship against the No. 1 seed from Carleton College (Minn.), but fell 6-2, 7-6.
