    AUSTIN, Texas (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire softball’s Amanda Fischer (Sr.-Wausau, Wis./West) collected another post-season award Wednesday as she was named to the Capital One Academic All-America® Division III Softball Third Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Casey Arnold (Sr.-Kaukauna, WI), Lauren Blascyzk (So.-Appleton, WI/East), Amanda Fischer (Sr.-Wausau, WI/West), and Taylor Pierce (Sr.-Ashwaubenon, WI) were selected to All-WIAC Softball Team in a vote by the league coaches.

    DULUTH, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – Due to impending weather, Friday’s softball games in Duluth have been moved to Sunday. The Blugolds will face St. Scholastica for a single game starting at noon and will face Northland in game two, starting at approximately 2 p.m. Both games will be played at St. Scholastica’s Kenwood Field.

    EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com)—A windy day at Carson Park saw a UWEC Softball squad rested and ready to go after a 10 day, 14 game spring break schedule in East Texas. The home opener against Marian proved to again be a battle of the bats but hitting would not be enough to propel the Blugolds (10-10) who split the header, winning game one 8-1 but falling 10-7 in game two.

    ALEXANDRIA, Louisiana (Blugolds.com)—The Blugold Softball team found success late in the day in the final doubleheader of their spring break trip. No. 21 Louisiana College (14-4) picked up the win 1-0 in game one but the UW-Eau Claire (8-10) rally earned them a 8-0 victory to close the day.

Last season, the Blugolds went 25-16 overall and placed fourth in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) with a 9-5 conference record.
