Meredith Named WIAC Softball Position Player of the Week

MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – UW-Eau Claire softball infielder Kelsey Meredith (So.-Golden Valley, MN/Armstrong) has been named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Softball Position Player of the Week, it was announced today by Assistant Commissioner of Media Relations Matt Stanek.

Meredith made her presence known in her six starts during the final games of the Blugolds' spring trip, including both games against No. 3-ranked East Texas Baptist University.  She earned her first start of the week against Texas-Dallas on March 24 and went 5-for-6 on the day. Meredith finished the week hitting .556 (10-for-18) with seven RBI, a double and homerun for a .778 slugging percentage and a .579 on-base percentage.
