Bolden resigns from baseball coaching role

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) – University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire head baseball coach Charles Bolden resigned from his role on Monday.

Bolden served as the coach of the Blugolds for three years, beginning in the 2021 season. When the baseball program was reinstated in 2021, Bolden led the group that brought the Blugolds back onto the diamond for the first time since 1995. He was the team's first head coach following its revival.

Mark Faanes will take over as the Blugolds' interim head coach. Faanes is a UW-Eau Claire alumnus and is the longtime manager of the Eau Claire American Legion baseball program.
