Moore named to D3baseball.com Team of the Week

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (blugolds.com) — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire pitcher Matt Moore (Jr. - Stillwater, Minn.) has been named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week for March 20-26. Moore becomes the second Blugold to receive the honor this season.

Moore pitched a no-hitter against Bard on March 21 at the RussMatt Invitational. He struck out 10 across the nine-inning complete game and walked two. It was the first no-hitter since the UW-Eau Claire program was revived in 2021, and the first shutout of the season for the Blugolds.

Moore joins Drew Salyers (So. - Centennial, Colo./Arapahoe) as the other Blugold to have earned a spot on the D3baseball.com Team of the Week this year. They are the first two players in program history to receive the distinction.

Moore was also an honorable mention for Division III pitcher of the week from the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
