Braden Cousineau enters his 3rd year coaching at UW-Eau Claire in 2022-23.
Cousineau earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from UW-Eau Claire. He also competed for the Blugolds from 2017-2020 where he had an All-Conference finish in the Pole Vault during the 2019 indoor season.
Under Coach Cousineau and Coach Poljanec, the UWEC vault squad and decathlon vaulters have seen success at both the WIAC and Division III. In 2022, the men’s vaulters collected four individual All-American finishes (including a National Runner-Up) en route to their two team titles. They also had two different WIAC Champions along with capturing 3 of 8 and 4 of 8 podium spots in the Indoor and Outdoor WIAC Championships. In total since 2021, UWEC vaulters have accomplished the following:
1x National Runner-Up
4x Individual All-Americans
5x School Records Broken
2x WIAC Conference Champions
14x Individual All-Conference Finishes
Outside of coaching, Cousineau works as a software engineer for a local credit union where he builds robotic process automations.
