Blugolds Improve to 9-0

Eau Claire, Wis. (Blugolds.com)- The UW-Eau Claire's men's tennis squad earned another two wins over the weekend, sweeping Prairie College and Hamline University, 8-1 and 9-0 respectively.  This tallies nine straight wins for the Blugolds as they extend their undefeated season.

Against the Prairie College at the No. 6 singles Demetri Bush (Fr.—Edina, MN/ Duluth Marshall) took down his opponent 6-0, 6-0.  Then at the No. 2 doubles Matt Christensen (So.—Rochester, MN/ Century) and partner Hunter Roseth (Fr.—Lakeville, MN/South) won their match 8-5.

In the match against Hamline, the Blugolds dominated top to bottom.  At the No. 4 singles Tyler Grosz (Fr.—Hudson, WI) defeated his opponent 6-0, 6-0.  At No. 2 doubles John Foley (Fr.—Wayzata, MN) and partner Matt Gilbert (Jr.—Minneapolis, MN/ Washburn) defeated their opponents 8-0. 

The Blugolds had another outstanding weekend of tennis, earning their 9th straight win.  Eau Claire looks to keep this streak going as they are back in action this Saturday, February 29 as they head to Racine, WI to take on Carthage College (WI) and Lake Forest (ILL).
