
Eau Claire, Wis. (Blugolds.com)- The UW-Eau Claire's men's tennis squad earned a shut-out three wins over the weekend including a doubleheader sweep Saturday at the YMCA. The Blugolds' tallied a 9-0 win over St. Scholastica on Friday and then a 9-0 triumph over Bethel University and a 9-0 win over Edgewood on Saturday to make that four wins in a row.

The Blugolds have only dropped 1 double's set so far this season and have yet to lose a single's set.
In the 9-0 win over Bethel, Matt Christensen (So.—Rochester, MN/ Century) won a hard-fought set at the No. 2 singles over Erik Beckers (BU) 3-6, 6-3, 10-7. Matt Gilbert (Jr.—Minneapolis, MN/ Washburn) and John Foley (Fr.—Wayzata, MN) won a dominating set at No. 3 doubles 8-0.
Against Edgewood College Demetri Bush (Fr.—Edina, MN/ Duluth Marshall) won at the No. 1 singles over Schradermeier (EDGE) 6-0, 6-2. At the No. 1 doubles, teammates Adam Burk (Jr.—Forest Lake, MN/ Totino Grace) and Tyler Grosz (Fr.—Hudson, WI) beat Schradermeier/Nelson (EDGE) 8-1.
The Blugolds are now 4-0 on the season and are back in action next weekend as they host Dubuque on Friday and Cornell (IA) and Carleton (MN) next Saturday at the YMCA Menard's Tennis Center.
