MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire cross country coaches were selected as the 2018 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Cross Country Coaching Staff of the Year, based on voting conducted by the league coaches.
The Blugolds won the 10th conference title in program history – their second-straight championship - and placed second at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional. The Blugolds capped their season by finishing fourth at the national championship meet in Oshkosh.
The coaching staff includes: head coach Dan Schwamberger; assistant coaches Chip Schneider and Marcie Schwamberger; and volunteer student coaches Jake Kennedy, Darin Lau, Emma Reed and Pernille Soderlind.
