EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - The UW-Eau Claire women's cross country team handed out this year's team awards this past weekend at the annual team banquet.

Alana Jenkins (Sr.-Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) was named the Most Valuable Runner. Jenkins competed in seven races this season and finished in 53^rd place or better in all of them. At the NCAA Regional on Nov. 16, she took 52^nd place to end the year while she finished 12^th at the WIAC Championship.

Receiving Most Improved honors was Jamie Warner (Fr.-Waukesha, Wis./West). Competing in seven races this season, Warner took 61^st place at the WIAC Championship and ended the season with a fifth-place finish at the Luther College JV Cup on Nov. 8.

Sydney Pretasky (Fr.-La Crosse, Wis./Central) was selected the team's Most Valuable Freshman. Pretasky competed in six events this year and had the team's second highest finish at the NCAA Regional as she came in 49^th place. She also took 17^th at the WIAC Championship on Nov. 2.

Earning the Blugold Award was Jami Riley (Sr.-Fairmont, Minn.). She competed seven times this season and took 33^rd at the WIAC Championship and 193^rd at the NCAA Regional.
