MADISON, Wis.--The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced its award winners for the 2023 women's indoor track & field season based on voting by the league coaches. UW-Eau Claire's very own Catie Fobbe (Sr. - Annandale, Minn./Maple Lake) was named one of the Kwik Trip Co-Performers of the Meet during her performance at the 2023 WIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships.
This is the third time in conference history that the field award has been shared. Fobbe took first in the shot put with a mark of 49-0 3/4 (14.95m) and was third in the 20-pound weight throw with a distance of 57-9 (17.60m). Her performance in the shot put is the best in the conference this season and established a facility record.
Fobbe and the Blugolds are back in action on Friday, March 10 as they travel to Birmingham, Ala. for day one of the 2023 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships.
