Tuscan, AZ (Blugolds.com)- The Blugolds women tennis team finished up their Spring Break trip to Arizona with a win over Pima Community College 7-2, but fell to Arizona Christian University 7-2

The Blugolds started the day with a 7-2 win over Pima Community College. Olivia Gallagher (Jr. Lodi, Wis.) lead the way in singles play with a 6-1,6-4 win at No. 2. Colleen McCullough (Sr. Maple Grove, Minn.) toughed out a win at No. 3 winning 7- 5, 6-1, while Paige Kuepers (Sr. Green Bay, Wis.) and Brooke Volpone (So. Monticello, Minn.) tallied wins at No 4 and No 5 singles. Kendra Berry (Fr. Duluth, Minn.) finished the singles sweep with a 6-3, 6-3 win.
The pair of Kuepers and Gallagher earned a 8-4 win at No. 2 doubles while Volpone and Molly Sanvik (Fr. Winona, Minn.) followed with a 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles.
The second match of the day the Blugolds fell to a tough Arizona Christian University team 7-2. Volpone won the only singles match defeating Desiree Curiel 6-1, 6-2. Sarah Henderson (So. Prior Lake, Minn.) and her No.1 doubles partner Colleen McCullough earned the only other Blugold vicotry, winning 8-4.
The Blugolds return home from Arizona with a Spring Break record of 3-2. The women will compete again on April 1.
