PARADISE VALLEY, AZ (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's tennis team dominated Paradise Valley Community College on Monday, winning 9-0.
In singles action, Sarah Henderson (So. Prior Lake, Minn.) defeated Joanna Uzzanti 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 while Olivia Gallagher (Jr. Lodi, Wis. ) defeated Gabriela Wallen 6-0, 6-3 at No. 2.
At No. 3 singles, Colleen McCullough (So. Maple Grove, Minn.) downed Erica Wolford 6-1, 6-1 and Paige Kuepers (Sr. Green Bay, Wis.) defeated Bianca Amaga 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4.
Kendra Berry (Fr. Duluth, Minn.) and Jillian Hultgren (Fr. Winona, Minn. ) finished the singles sweep, winning by scores of 6-0, 6-0 and 6-1, 6-1, respectively.
The doubles team of Henderson and McCullough won by a score of 8-3 while Gallagher and Kuepers won 8-2. Brooke Volpne (So. Monticello, Minn.) and Molly Sanvik (Fr. Winona, Minn.) also victorious, winning 8-0.
The Blugolds looking to earn three sweeps in a row tomorrow March 22 at Mesa Community College in Mesa, AZ.
