Paige LeGate Named to Academic All-District Soccer Team

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - UW-Eau Claire women's soccer player Paige LeGate (Sr.-Green Bay, Wis./Bay Port) has been selected to the 2013 Capital One NCAA Division III Academic All-District Six Women's Soccer First Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

LeGate is majoring in health care administration and holds a 3.81 GPA.

She leads the team this season with six assists, which is also tied for the third most in the WIAC. LeGate is third on the team with six points. She has played in all 18 games this season, starting 12, and has taken 24 shots, fourth most on the team.

Because she was selected to the All-District first team, LeGate is now eligible to be named to the Academic All-America squad that will be announced Nov. 22.

In order to be eligible for the Academic All-America program, nominees must: be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletic credentials; have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale) in both undergrad and graduate work; have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at the institution and completed at least one calendar year at the institution; and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games.
