Women’s Golf Ties for Fourth at Spring Invitational

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's golf team concluded the 2014-15 season tying for fourth place at the two-day UW-Eau Claire Spring Invitational hosted today at Wild Ridge Golf Course.

The Blugolds tied Wartburg College (IA) for fourth place with a two-day score of 647 just two strokes away from tying for third place.  Carleton (MN) won the invitational with a 627 followed by Gustavus scoring a 639 and Carthage earning a total score of 647.

Geraldine Tellbuscher of Carleton earned medalist honors posting a final score of 154.  Her second day score of 69 was the lowest recorded round of the invitational.

Kate Engler (Sr.-Beloit, WI/F.J. Turner) was the top Blugold placewinner tying for eighth place posting a total score of 159.  Katy Bolduc (So.-Lake City, MN/Lincoln) tied for 12th place with a 161 followed by Mandi Salo (Sr.-Hermantown, WI) who tied for 19th place with a two-day total of 163.

Emily Stone (Sr.-Eden Prairie, MN) was one stroke behind Solo with a 164.  Katie Moore (So.-Woodbury, MN) tied for 42nd place with a score of 176. 

Lauren Gaffney (Jr.-Portage, WI) was the top individual scorer for the Blugolds earning a total score of 168 to tie for 27th place.
