WAVERLY, Iowa (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's golf team finished second at the Wartburg Women's Golf Spring Invite this weekend with an overall score of 645 (+69).

The Blugolds tallied a team score of 320 on day one, just over host Wartburg College who shot a 318 to lead the field. The Blugolds remained in second at the end of day two with a 325 while Wartburg shot a 320 for the win.

Kate Engler (Sr.-Beloit, WI/F.J. Turner) led the way for the Blugolds, tying for second. Engler shot a 78 on Saturday and a 79 on Sunday for an overall score of 157 (+13).

Katie Moore (So.-Woodbury, MN) finished fifth shooting an even 80 on both days for a 160 (+16) while Emily Stone (Sr.-Eden Prairie, MN) was eighth with a score of 164 after shooting scores of 79 and 85.

The Blugolds will be back in action April 25-26 as they compete in the Carleton Spring Invitational.
