PHOENIX, Ariz. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire women's golf team opened the 2015 spring golf season against Arizona Christian University in Duel in the Desert hosted by the Moon Valley Country Club.
Kate Engler (Sr.-Beloit, WI/F.J. Turner) earned medalist honors posting a final score of 79. Engler was the only competitor to finish with a sub-80 score. Emily Stone (Sr.-Eden Prairie, MN) finished second with a score of 86. Mandi Salo (Sr.-Hermantown, MN) tied for third place with a shooting an 87.
Other notables for the Blugolds were Katie Moore (So.-Woodbury, MN) finishing sixth with a final round score of 92, Katy Bolduc (So.-Lake City, MN/Licoln) placing seventh with a score of 94 and Molly Lattery (Fr.-Poplar, WI/Northwestern) finishing in eighth place posting a 98.
The Blugolds will return to the links on Saturday, April 11 when they will travel to Ironwood Golf Course to participate in the Illinois Wesleyan Spring Fling. Action will conclude on Sunday, April 12.
