Men’s Swimming and Diving Competes at UW-La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The UW-Eau Claire men's swimming and diving team traveled to UW-La Crosse where they lost to the Eagles 154-88 in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) dual meet here today at the Mitchell Hall Aquatics Center.

Jake McDade (Sr.-Monona, WI/Monona Grove) won the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:01.62.  McDade also finished second in the 1000 Freestyle posting a time of 10:17.03.

Kyle Kackman (Jr.-Otsego, MN/St. Michael-Albertville) won the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:02.39.  Kackman finished ahead of teammate Dayton Miller (Fr.-Rochester, MN/Schaefer Academy), who earned a second place finish with a time of 1:03.05.

Ryan Young (So.-Lakeville, MN/North) won the 100 Butterfly finishing the race in 54.24 seconds.  Ben Fisher (So.-Roselle, IL/Lake Park) placed second in the 50 Freestyle covering the distance in 22.41 seconds.

The Blugolds will compete one more time before the end of the semester when they hit the road for the Rochester Invitational.  The event will run from December 5-7.
