NORMAN, Okla. (Blugolds.com) – Division III PING All-Region honorees have been announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) with Nick Bauer (Sr.- Oshkosh, WI/North) and Alex Rogan (Jr. – Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial) earning a spot on the Central Team.
Bauer turned in a strong senior campaign, finishing with a 74 average in 22 rounds. Season highlights included tying for medalist honors at the MSOE Invitational and he was the runner-up at the Saint John's Spring Invite. The senior finished 33rd or better in every tournament and was in the top 12 five times.
Rogan took medalist honors in the last meet of the year and finished the season with a 73.8 average. The junior also won the Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Invite and tied Bauer for first at the MSOE Invitational. Of the nine tournaments, Rogan placed in the top 10 five times.
The duo led the Blugolds to a No. 19 ranking this spring. The Blugolds won their home meet and the Bobby Krig Invite while finishing runner-up at the MSOE Invite. Eau Claire finished the season with an impressive 101-28 overall record.
