Rogan earns medalist honors at Bobby Krig Invite

LE SUEUR, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The No. 19 University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team wrapped up the regular season this weekend at the Bobby Krig Invitational, finishing tied for first as a team and Alex Rogan (Jr. – Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial) taking home medalist honors.

Results

The Blugolds had four golfers finish in the top six and tied with host Gustavus Adolphus with team scores of 593.

Rogan shot a 72 in the first round and followed it up with a 74 in round two for a 146 (+4). Cole Jahnke (Fr.- Stillwater, MN) finished in fifth place after shooting a pair of 75's (150) while Brady Thomas (Jr. – Middleton, WI) and Nick Bauer (Sr.- Oshkosh, WI/North) tied for sixth with two-round scores of 151. Thomas shot a 78 and 73 while Bauer a 70 and 81.

The Blugolds will now wait for the NCAA selection show on Monday, May 6th at 3 p.m. to see if they have earned an at large bid into the NCAA tournament.
