HAM LAKE, Minn. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team finished their first tournament of the season in third place with Isaac Prefontaine (So. – New Franklin, WI/Green Bay Preble) and Alex Rogan (Jr. – Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial) earning top 10 finishes.
The Blugolds first squad shot a 300 on Sunday, giving them a two-round score of 592. The University of St. Thomas won the tournament with a two-round team score of 585.
Prefontaine shot his second 73 in as many days to finish at 146 and tie for seventh while Rogan shot a 75 on Sunday to finish at 147 and tie for 10th.
Cole Jahnke (Fr. - Stillwater, MN) and Jake Reckin (So. – Bellevue, NE) finished in the top 20, finishing with two-round scores of 149 to tie for 16th.
