Men's Golf Lead after round 1 Wrigglesworth Invite

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire men's golf team is in first place after round one of the Frank Wrigglesworth Blugold Invite held at the Eau Claire Country Club.

UW-Eau Claire has two teams competing, with the team of Jake Reckin (So. – Bellevue, NE), Alex Rogan (Jr. – Lino Lakes, MN/Centennial), Nick Bauer (Sr.- Oshkosh,WI/North), Isaac Prefontaine (So.- New Franklin, WI/Green Bay Preble), and Cole Jahnke (Fr.- Stillwater, MN ) turning in a team score of 303 giving them a three stroke lead over Webster. 

The second Blugold squad of Matt Fladten (Fr.- Eau Claire, WI/Memorial), Brady Thomas (Jr. – Middleton,WI), Mason Gardner (Fr.- Waupaca, WI),  Phil Johnson ( Sr. – Eagan, MN) and Ross Johnson  (Fr. -Middleton,WI) is in 8th place with a team score of 330.

Individually Rogan finished tied for 5th for the Blugolds, while Prefontaine, Bauer, and Jahnke all tied for 8th. 

 

Eau Claire will finish the second and final round Monday at Wild Ridge Golf Course. Follow the action on Blugold Game Day.
