Reineck earns WIAC Scholar-Athlete Award

MADISON, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Jessie Reineck and UW-La Crosse's Mallory Hall have been selected co-recipients of the 2017 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Judy Kruckman Women's Outdoor Track & Field Scholar-Athlete Award. A senior from Greenville, Wis. (Fox Valley Lutheran), Reineck is majoring in athletic training and owns a 3.92 grade point average. She was named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team in 2014 and 2015 and is a three-time member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll. She has been named to UW-Eau Claire's Dean's List numerous semesters and received academic scholarships. Earlier this year, Reineck received the WIAC Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete Award for indoor track & field.

Reineck collected four WIAC titles at this year's championship, securing the 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash, 4x100-meter relay and 4x400-meter relay. The 4x400-meter relay team established a conference meet record. She was also a member of the winning 4x100-meter relay squad at the 2015 league meet. Reineck contributed to the national champion 4x100-meter relay and 4x400-meter relay teams at the 2015 NCAA Division III Championship.

She is a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association, Wisconsin Athletic Trainer's Association, UW-Eau Claire's Student Athletic Trainer's Association, UW-Eau Claire's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and Eau Claire Emergency Medical Corps.
