4X100 Relay Named WIAC Athletes of the Week

MADISON, Wis. (Blugolds.com) - UW-Eau Claire women's out-door 4X100 meter relay team was named Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Athletes of the Week, Assistant Commissioner for Media Relations Matt Stanek announced today.

The relay team of; Kelsey Worachek (Appleton, Wis. (Xavier), Claire Fischer (Appleton, Wis. (North), Jessie Reineck (Greenville, Wis./ Fox Valley Lutheran) and Jess Rupnow (Sussex, Wis./ Sussex Hamilton) competed for the first time this season at the UW-Platteville Invitational on April 14.  The foursome produced a first-place time of 47.01. This time ranks them 2nd in the nation and 1st in the WIAC. 

The women's track team will compete again at the Phil Esten Challenge at UW-La Crosse on April 21.
