EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (Blugolds.com) – The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire wrestling team hosted Saint John's University for their last home dual of the season on Friday night. The Blugolds tallied a dominating 45-3 win.
David Dudych (So. - West Dundee, IL/Harry D. Jacobs), Chase Schmidt (So. – Rice Lake, WI) and Adam Lucast (Fr. – Lakeville, MN/South) all tallied pins to lead the Blugolds. Dudych defeated Andrew Smith (1:49) at 149 pounds with Schmidt defeating Daniel Gainer (2:26) at 165. Lucast finished the dual with his pin at 285 over Jayce Windsor (3:42).
Jack Marley (Fr. – Trempealeau, WI/Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau) also earned a win at 125 with a 12-7 decision while Hunter Pierce (So. – Tomah, WI) won by a 9-8 decision at 141. At 174, Toby Mosley (Sr. – Sparta, WI) earned a sudden victory (5-3) over Jacob Scherber.
The Blugolds will be back in McPhee Saturday as they host the Don Parker Open. Action will begin at 10 a.m.
