The third through seventh place teams were separated by just 1.325 points. The Blugolds' point total this year was the second highest score they have ever achieved at the WIAC Championship, topped only by last year's total of 186.650, which was a school record.

Leah Robinette (So.-Woodbury, Minn.) had Eau Claire's best finish today as she took third on the uneven bars with a score of 9.575, a career-high.

In the floor exercise, Elizabeth Stubbs (So.-Wayzata, Minn.) tied for fourth as she scored 9.575 points. She also tied with Michaela McCamey-Metropulos (Sr.-Dayton, Ohio) for the Blugolds' best finish on the balance beam with a score of 9.500 for eighth place.

On the vault, the Blugolds recorded a season-high score of 46.575, and Julia Stedman (So.-Maplewood, Minn./North St. Paul) led the team by tying for seventh place with a score of 9.525, a season-best for Stedman.

At the conclusion of the championship, Kellie Dougherty (So.-White Bear Lake, Minn.) was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

Because only the top three teams qualify for the NCGA Championship, the Blugolds will now have to wait until next weekend to see if any individuals advance to nationals. The NCGA Championship will be contested March 21-22 at Ithaca College in Ithaca, N.Y.
